Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Welcome to the Border Loomers website. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our site and participation in our programs. By using this site or participating in our workshops and events, you agree to these terms.
Who We Are
Border Loomers is a free, bilingual community weaving initiative operating across Bisbee, Douglas, Naco AZ, Naco Sonora, and Agua Prieta Sonora, currently under fiscal sponsorship while pursuing independent 501(c)(3) status.
Use of This Site
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn't infringe the rights of others or restrict anyone else's use of the site. Content on this site - including text, photos, and design - belongs to Border Loomers or is used with permission, and may not be reproduced or used commercially without our consent.
Workshops and Programs
-
Our workshops and programs are offered free of charge unless otherwise stated.
-
Participation is open as described on each program's page, and we reserve the right to adjust schedules, locations, or availability.
-
Participants (or, for minors, a parent/guardian) may be asked to complete a sign-up or consent form, including for photo/video use, before participating in certain programs such as Little Loomers.
-
We ask all participants to treat instructors, volunteers, and fellow participants with respect. We reserve the right to ask someone to leave a workshop or event for unsafe or disruptive behavior.
Donations
Donations made through GoFundMe or other linked platforms are processed by those third-party platforms under their own terms. Border Loomers does not directly process or store payment information. Donations support our programs and operations; while we're pursuing 501(c)(3) status, please see our website for the current status of tax-deductibility.
Art Sales
Where art created by participants, instructors, or the community is offered for sale through this site or our gallery programming, sales are subject to any additional terms noted at the point of sale (pricing, shipping, commission arrangements, etc.).
No Warranty
This site and our programs are provided "as is." While we make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and up to date, we don't guarantee the site or our programs will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet every visitor's expectations.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Border Loomers is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or participation in our programs. Participation in hands-on workshops (e.g., use of looms and tools) is at the participant's own risk; we ask participants to follow instructor guidance and safety practices at all times.
Links to Third-Party Sites
Our site may link to third-party platforms (such as GoFundMe, social media, or partner organizations). We aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third-party sites.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
