Border Loomers ("we," "us," "our") is a bilingual community weaving initiative operating across Bisbee, Douglas, Naco AZ, Naco Sonora, and Agua Prieta Sonora, currently under fiscal sponsorship. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, workshops, and programs, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Contact information you provide directly, such as name, email, and phone number, when you sign up for our newsletter, register for a workshop, volunteer, or contact us.

• Donation information when you give through GoFundMe or other donation platforms linked from our site. We do not directly collect or store payment card details - these are handled by our payment processors' own secure systems.

• Program participation information, such as workshop sign-ups, school partnership registrations (including for programs like Little Loomers), and volunteer applications.

• Website usage information collected automatically through our website platform (Wix), such as browser type, general location, and how visitors interact with our pages.

Children's Information

Some of our programs, including Little Loomers, take place in schools and involve minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children online. Where a school or program partner shares limited information with us for program coordination (such as a class roster or teacher contact), that information is used solely for program logistics and is not used for marketing or shared with third parties beyond what's needed to run the program.

Photos and Media

We regularly photograph and record video at our workshops, events, and school programs (including Little Loomers) to document our work, share it on our website and social media, and support grant and fundraising reporting.

• Adults: By participating in our public workshops and events, you may be photographed or recorded. If you'd prefer not to appear in photos we share publicly, please let a Border Loomers team member know at the event, or contact us directly.

• Minors: For programs involving children, including school-based programs, we obtain permission from a parent, guardian, or school partner before photographing or publishing images of minors. If you are a parent or guardian and did not provide consent, or wish to withdraw consent for a photo already shared, contact us and we will remove it.

• Use of photos: Photos and video may appear on our website, social media, newsletters, grant reports, and printed materials. We do not sell or license photos to third parties for commercial use.

• Removal requests: If you appear in a photo on our site or social media and would like it removed, contact us at borderloomers@gmail.com and we'll take it down.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Communicate with donors, volunteers, and workshop participants

• Coordinate and run our programs and events

• Send newsletters and updates about our work (only to those who opt in)
